Adding Intricate Logos to Duct Tape Wallets
Previously, I would print a logo on paper and tape it to the wallet. Now, logos are made out of 100% duct tape. The first one I tried was Calvin and Hobbes. Every bit of the design is made out of duct tape including stripes and facial features. The technique is like putting a puzzle together. I still print the design on paper, but then use it as a template to cut each color section on the appropriate duct tape. I assemble it all together on top of a piece of clear tape. Lastly, I cover the design with another piece of clear tape.

Are You a Giants or Patriots Fan?
In honor of Super Bowl XLVI this weekend, check out duct tape artist, Jeremy Tubbs' NFL Helmet Series.
Using six different layers of duct tape, beginning with white covering a canvas frame and increasing the grayscale value until finally reaching black, Tubbs' artwork is absolutely amazing. The detail he includes is so intricate, you'll still be shaking your head thinking, "how does he do that." It's difficult to even imagine how long it would take to create one of his masterpieces.
To see more of Tubbs' duct tape art, check out his website, blog, or Facebook page.

New Mini-Wallets in Fun Printed Duct Tape
With the purchase of some new, fun, printed duct tape, mom went crazy making mini-wallets. These mini-wallets consist of a clear ID pocket, 3 credit card pockets, and coin purse where you can seal coins and dollars inside. There's even a place to attach your keys. Mom doesn't like carrying her purse everywhere and these have just enough room for her to carry to essentials.

One thing mom noticed when working with the printed duct tape is that it is NOT like wallpaper. It doesn't line up so you can match up the pattern at the ends. These unmatched seams may be seen under the clear ID pocket, but will be hidden once you slip your ID inside.

The Rest of the Family is In
This week has been eventful. I worked on an order with a Columbus Blue Jackets logo that I hadn't seen before. This logo was introduced in November of 2010 for their Third Jersey. The order was for a Dark Blue wallet with a Beige brim and then on the inside, Dark Blue, Electric Blue, and Biege.
The rest of the family wanted to join on the fun as well. For the past week, my mom and both sisters have been practicing their duct taping skills. Alyssa has been working hard on braided bracelets while Ari has been learning how to make flowers and bracelets. Mom has also tried her hand at duct taping by creating a jewelry set and purse. Below are some of mom's creations. For more pictures check out our Facebook page.

Ohio State (OSU) Duct Tape Wallets
I received two orders for Ohio State (OSU) duct tape wallets because that's the popular college team where I live. The first one that I made is Red duct tape with Gray as the brim. The logo was created on card stock and covered with clear tape.
On the second wallet I made, my mom suggested to make the main color Gray and the brim Red to make the logo stand out. I also reduced the size of the logo so it didn't touch the brim. I like the outside of the second wallet a lot more than the first, but prefer the Red on the inside with the Gray brim.

Columbus Crew Duct Tape Wallet
Piano Duct Tape Wallet
One of my sisters started taking piano lessons this past year so I decided to make her a piano duct tape wallet. The keys were extended to the backside and then covered with clear tape to preserve the design. The inside is Black with White brim.
Two Tone Duct Tape Wallets for Christmas
For Christmas, I gave several family members duct tape wallets. Each wallet contained a clear ID pocket on the left, 3 card pockets on the right, and a money slot.
Below are pictures of the ones I created.
